how do I setup my android to receive imessaging

You cannot. iMessage is an iOS only feature.

I'm not aware of an app that will allow for iMessage on an Android device. Is this something in the Google Play store?

Actually iMessages can be on a Mac (in the OS X ) as well as the version on iOS devices.

There is a thread in iChat that refers to Apps for PCs that can do it.

However iMessages creates Unique Logins based on the Serial Number as well as the Apple ID or iPhone Number to login and other apps whether PC or Android are unlikely to get past this hurdle.

I was aware that it could be done on the Mac platform, I was just referring to the difference between iOS and Android. Of course, the OP's answers have been rather cryptic, so I'm not sure exactly what is going on here. Thanks for some clarification. That may help the OP understand the answers.
